Happy summer solstice for tomorrow, everyone! (Unless you're in the northern hemisphere, of course.) How are you celebrating?

I'll be watching a live streaming of the first rays of the winter solstice sunrise streaming into the burial chamber at Newgrange, if I can work out the time difference.

I will be making a batch of sickeningly fattening treats for my workmates as Xmas gifts. I've decided that rather than work on reducing my own bulk, I shall concentrate on fattening up those around me instead. Such a cunning plan can't possibly fail!

For me the solstice is also close to the 6mth since birthday mark - kinda like a end of year deal (I then spend the remainder of December having to remember the calendar new year is yet to actually you know...occur *lol*).

So it's manic up until today & then a day of taking in the energy (hmmmm, perhaps like Jan. 1 *shrug*).

Chocolate fudge was indulged by some you know last night too. Only a couple more batches to go (the biscuits, almond bread, chutneys & relish have been done & dusted prior).

Enjoy the sunset (I'm so not a morning person *lol*)!
