The cover of my next novel has just been unveiled to the world, and it's a corker! Stephan Martiniere is a god. I've been extraordinarily lucky with covers throughout my career. Even my foreign covers have been fun.

Saturn Returns also has a draft blurb, if you follow the link.

More news to come.

Nice! Not sure about the font/layout stuck on top, but I do prefer it to the big block colours that US books often have (eg the Geodesicae, to coin a plural).
So will it be a year between sequelae, meaning quite a wait for the end of the tale?

Lovely. But I have to wait to April next year?

Thanks for the feedback. I think it's an improvement on the usual too. If you look really close at the title font, you'll see the image bleeding through. I like that a lot.

Books are currently scheduled nine months apart rather than a year. *And* there's a substantial novella linking books one and two coming from MonkeyBrain next September. More on that soon...once I get around to starting.

Sorry. Here's the first opening line:

"I am not a decent man."

Does that help? :-)

Excellent, thanks Mr Roberson for the novella :) Sounds cool. I'm sure the cover will look excellent on a real paper book and not just this monitor. Looking forward to it!

Yes, Chris is a dude. He's give me a rare opportunity to explore beyond the usual boundaries of a series. I'm looking forward to it. (Working title, btw, is "Cenotaxis", but we'll see how long that lasts.)

No, it makes me want more. I'm greedy that way.

We went to the launch of Shaun Tan's The Arrival last night at Gleebooks (Sydney). I've started looking at it last night (is "reading" the right word for a textless narrative?), and I can't get it out of my head. Which is a problem, because I finish up my job today, and have lots to do (as well as training my replacement). Hope to have time over the weekend, before I start the new job.

I also meant to say: Great opening line. Almost up there with "I shall clap my hands and bow to the four corners of the earth".

I am so busting to experience Shaun's new book. He is a genius. Thanks for the reminder that it's out this week!

And thanks for the comment on the opening line. I hope the rest of the book delivers. :-)

Beautiful cover

Yes, you do luck out with Covers, Sean. (Says Rob as he stares at the recently arrived Pyr edition of Blood Debt.) I think I'm going to be on Sean Williams overdrive (not a bad thing), since I've just finished Geodesica: Ascent and started Geodesica: Descent. Looking forward to Saturn Returns.
