I loved Terrance Dicks' novelisation of Dr Who and the Mutants as a kid. Then when I finally got around to seeing the actual episodes (featuring the excellent Geoffrey Palmer), I liked them too. So to celebrate (for no reason at all) courtesy of the wonderful Shelley Jackson:

What kind of mutant are you?

I am the kind that has a craniopagus parasite, apparently, making me a distant relation of the Two-Headed Boy of Bengal, born in 1783. Seems fitting for a Gemini.

(Apologies to anyone out there who might actually have a craniopagus parasite. No offence intended.)

Whenever I think of you, I will always think of parasitic twin heads :)

I, on the other hand, contain an incomplete, undeveloped twin in the form of a tumor made up of diverse tissues. And I thought everybody walked like that :))

And here I was, Lee, thinking you were a woman's man, no time to talk. :-)

I am also a craniopagus parasite mutant.

Ditto Sean. I too seem to be a craniopagus parasite and I am not a Gemini, though after the past weekend I feel I should be an honourary one (partner, mother, stepfather & sister all Gems - Eeeek!)

Hmm, should try this again when I'm not coming off teaching the concept of long vowels for hours :o

I too am a smooshed head set of twins.

This is true.

I sense a conspiracy

Hi there.

Me too. Ok - I'm a gemini as well but so far everyone (bar one) is the same thing. Dr Who is about diversity (and quarries).

Besides Nicky would say I am two tummied (something to do with how much chocolate a person can safely consume in a day) - not two headed.

BTW - the Mutants is good. I am currently enjoying the reconstructions of the missing Hartnells and Troughtons. Such a shame the proper version no longer exist.

Have fun,
Damon

Snap! I once had a dream in which the back of my head opened up and outwards into a magnificent void, through which my sense of self could wander at will. Perhaps that was my twin talking...

Or perhaps it was just a dream. As Freud once said: sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. :-)

It is indeed a crime--the missing Who episodes and the chocolate issue both. I too am a confirmed addict.

Speaking of things Who: seen this?

Can too many Geminis ever be enough?

Maybe it takes a Gemini to ask that question. :-)
