...and now the UK

Orbit Books in the UK has made an offer on the Astropolis series, to be published first as trade paperback and then in A format. I write this slightly hungover from celebrating. This will be my first time published in the UK with a major publisher. The Evergence series and Metal Fatigue have both appeared in the UK, but only through the small press (Frank Ryan at Swift; see my website for more info). The only complication is that I had to sell them ANZ rights in order to clinch the deal, which may necessitate a break with HarperCollins here where my science fiction is concerned. I sincerely hope not, but will have to see what happens. For the moment, I'm ecstatic!
