The Adelaide natcon was a hoot.  That's my official con report.  I had a ball.  It was great to see so many familiar faces, and a few new ones too.  Thanks to everyone who made it happen.  I hope it won't be another 20-odd years before we have another con here in SA!

I'll just add quickly that I was completely bowled over to be the recipient of this year's Peter McNamara Award.  Will write more about this later, probably.  I still can't quite believe it...

I'm sorry we didn't get over (it was a very close call) but I kidnapped the other half to a family weekend away for his birthday - his is this coming Friday (bloody geminis - invading the world :P ). We did a 6hr drive on Saturday, then a 6hr drive back yesteray. Tired now!

But I did pull off the impossible and keep a secret on the master secret-keeper. That'll learn him *lol*!

That was my first Natcon and I had a ball. SA definitely shouldn't wait another 20 years before holding another one. The 09 Clarionites at the Ditmars were all very chuffed that you won the Peter McNamara Award.

Sean (so called) Williams - how did your family photo get into The Sunday Life magazine, and where the heck is your sister? Honestly, I spent a LOT of hours at your family home and I wonder why you managed this peculiar pose seeing as your mum is one of the coolest people on the planet - and makes the best slice in town. She didn't deserve that blue shirt controversy...
Tell her that the roses are doing well and I'll feed someone their own feet if they do anything but treat them with the greatest of care.
