the bat bar

Another photo from my recent travels. This is the foyer of the Accor Hotel in Darwin, where I really dug the bats over the bar. Apparently they're supposed to be birds (painted black to match the décor) but I prefer to think of this as a place where angry young men in tights might come to chill after a hard night's crime-fighting. I wonder what they'd drink?
