The Weekend Australian ran a great review of Geodesica: Ascent over the weekend:

Thanks to Terry Dowling for the kind words, and to Margo Lanagan for pointing them out to me.

Terry is always careful to give credit to the authors, especially if they're local, so I assume a subeditor was responsible for removing all reference to Shane and I from the review. Still, a plug is a plug, and I'll happily accept this one, even if it doesn't have my name on it. :-)

I lived in Adelaide between 1996 and 2001 and there was scarcely a fortnight went by without some positive comment about your writing in the Advertiser. I was happy to see such great support for genre writing.

You obviously missed 1998's infamous "vacuous" review in the Advertiser of THE RESURRECTED MAN. Ouch! But who's holding grudges? Not me. :-)

What is it they say? "best not mention it really"...I suppose the best thing about reviews is that when they are bad you can sometimes just say it's just like a poll. With a sample size of one!
