"Mr T vs the Cybermen" is the funniest and strangest thing I've seen for days, and much less disturbing than the Dalek/Cyberman slash I came across a couple of weeks ago.

None of this, though, compares to the news that Felicity Kendall will be guest-starring in an episode of Doctor Who involving Agatha Christie. I am swooning as I type. (Did I ever mention that I grew up on Doctor Who, Agatha Christie and The Good Life novels?) That's the best slash I could ever imagine.

I have read a Catweazle, have a couple of Blake's 7, but had no bloody idea the good life and Are you being served had books. Didn't need to know, either! :)

The novelisation of the second season of Catweazle is, in some ways, superior to the show itself. Dare I sound like a fanboy... :-)

Out of curiosity last night I opened the Are You Being Served? book for the first time in thirty years (honest) and was confronted by "Chapter One: A Boob Or Two", "Chapter Two: Bottoms Up" and so on. They've clearly gone to some effort to capture the spirit of the show.

I only found out recently that Catweazle had two series, and that they told a story. Possibly because the ABC repeated it so many times, and not always in plot order, I never realised. Even though I did read the novelisations as a kid. I thought they stand alone stories, not based on the series at all.

Now I'm going off to order the DVD.
