Every morning I wake up with a song in my head. Today it's "Domino Dancing" by the Pet Shop Boys, which I haven't heard for at least ten years. Beats me why. Sometimes the mind plays tricks...

Anyway, I'm off to start my stint at the Sydney Writer's Festival. As well as badgering students about the 10.5 Commandments, I'll be giving a couple of talks on the main program:

I was planning to come to the Crossing Over session, but the water pump in the car blew up last week, and I had to use my day off to get it fixed (it was due for service on the 31st May). If it had just waited one more week.....

All struggling (and non-so-struggling) authors catered for. Please advise of any food intolerances, or dislikes beforehand. I'dreally hate to accidentlly poison someone.

Care is now okay. Just expensivly repaired. Unfortunately, I can't get to work (not without a 2 hour trip each way (versus an 1/2 hour) anyway) without it.
